Marilyn Ritter is a founding partner and CEO of Creation Ground Media, a full service woman owned video production company serving medium to large companies throughout the San Francisco Bay Area by providing extraordinary custom high definition video for Marketing and Corporate Communications.
A native born Hoosier, Marilyn managed a popular seventies style vegetarian health food restaurant, The Tao, while attending Indiana University for a B.A. in Education. Before starting her official working life at the Indiana State Department of Public Welfare, Marilyn traveled extensively, and studied yoga and mediation. Ultimately she was appointed as Supervisor of Program and Policy Development for the Assistance to Families with Dependent Children, a program with a fiscal Year 1980 budget of $122.5 million.
Continuing to combine service with business, Marilyn moved to the health care industry as a key player in the management team of the Radiology Department of Methodist Hospital Indianapolis, cited by US News and World Report as one of “America’s Best Hospitals.”
In 2000 Marilyn headed west to Portland, Oregon where she joined forces with George Cohn to launch Creation Ground Media in 2002.
Marilyn received the Aurora Platinum Award for “Lapchi: A Tibetan Wool Story.” Filmed on location in Nepal, this corporate documentary employed professional sound design and featured an original music score.
It rained in Portland and sunny Silicon Valley called. Creation Ground Media relocated to Mountain View in 2005, continuing its growth and utilizing a broad range of enthusiastic freelance professionals. Our team members share our passion for professional excellence–as well as highly personalized client service.
